As a PLPC in the state of Louisiana, I practice under the clinical supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor approved by the Louisiana LPC Board.

Armanda Whitaker Coleman, m.s., m.a., plpc

My name is Armanda, I am a published author, blended family advocate, public speaker and a mental health counselor dedicated to walking alongside individuals as they heal, grow, and rediscover their sense of worth. I believe that every person’s story deserves to be heard with compassion, and every person deserves a safe space to breathe, unpack their stress, and begin again.

I bring a strong educational foundation to my work holding: a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.

This blend of behavioral science and clinical training allows me to support clients with both evidence-based strategies and a deeply human, person-centered approach.

My Approach

My Mission & Purpose

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in genuine connection. I integrate:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Trauma-informed and strengths-based practices

Clients often describe working with me as comforting, structured, and empowering. I meet you exactly where you are and work with you to move where you want to be.

I am committed to:

  • Helping clients understand the root of why they feel what they feel

  • supporting them in building healthier emotional patterns

  • Guiding them toward clarity, confidence, and self-compassion

  • Offering practical skills, they can use beyond the therapy room

  • Honoring every client’s unique journey, identity, and pace

At my core, I believe healing is not a straight line it is a guided path made easier when you do not have to walk it alone. My purpose is to be that steady support, helping clients uncover their strengths, navigate challenges, and move toward a life that feels lighter, more grounded, and more fulfilling.

-A.Whitaker, PLPC

My mission is simple yet deeply meaningful:

To create a therapeutic space where people feel seen, supported, heard, and empowered to transform their lives one intentional step at a time.
